We bet you’ll love our Korean drug eggs. The kind of ooey-gooey eggs marinated in a sweet and savoury sauce, the kind that makes you crave more. These jammy eggs are savoury, umami, sweet, and the perfect topping on top of your steamed rice. And best part? They’re halal!

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 red chilli
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 stalks spring onion
1/2 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup halal mirin OR 3 tbsp honey
Water and ice, as needed
Steps:
Heat water up in a saucepan to a gentle boil. Add in room temperature eggs and boil for exactly 6 minutes.
Immediately submerge the eggs in ice water for at least 5 minutes and make cracks all over the shell to let the water seep in between the shell and egg. Peel the eggs.
In a container or bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, water, onion, garlic, water, sesame seeds and spring onion. Add in the peeled eggs.
Cover and let eggs marinade in the fridge for at least 3 hours
Serve with rice and a couple of dashes of sesame oil. (optional) Enjoy!
